It has been over the three month period in which I have read countless claims stating that rosemary essential oil promotes hair growth. I am happy to announce that rosemary essential oil worked on my subject. However, it is important to know what type of hair lossone is experiencing, and it should be used as I directed in my previous article. The four types of hair lossthat are most common are:
In this type of hair lossthe immune system is mistakenly attacking the hair follicles, and it is unknown why this happens; but the good news is, it’s not permanent!
This type of hair lossis caused by pulling the hair to tight, while wearing a pony tail or braids. It also is important to condition the hair properly so it is easy to comb through. If the hair is full of tangles, it may cause the hair to be pulled tightly using a brush or comb.
The subject I used has Androgenetic Alopecia above his temples, and Alopecia Areata on his left sideburn. We both were skeptical that hair would grow back on his sideburn, because it was completely bald. When his hair grew it covered up the bald spot on his sideburn, but when he got his hair cut it returned. Since we started this experiment he has been reluctant to cut his hair, because he was afraid that the rosemary essential oil would disappoint, and the bald spot on his sideburn would reappear as it always did. However, he recently took a trip to his hairdresser because his hair was getting out of control, and to his surprise the bald spot was replaced by new hair growth! He called me at once to share the good news! I am excited that it worked for his sake, and I am excited to share the good news with all of you that are experiencing hair loss. There is hope.
Many individuals experience hair lossfor various reasons. Anxiety, depression, prescribed medicine, excessive oily hair, and poor diet are just a few of the many reasons that may cause hair loss. Before you start any natural remedy, make sure you don’t have any medical conditions by a physician. Essential oils may be dangerous if you are taking prescribed medications or blood thinners.
In conclusion, the following pictures above are months one, two, and three. I want to note that my subject continues to use rosemary essential oil every night on a clean scalp before bedtime. He uses 3 to 5 drops on his receding hairline and the bald spot on his sideburn, and then he massages it into the balding areas for one to two minutes. He continues the procedure every night because he also experiences that he sleeps better, and the texture of his hair is smoother. He use to have frizzy hair before using rosemary essential oil.
